Arrowhead partners with CATRA

CATRA, or Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association, is an organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons for riders of all ages with disabilities and health issues, for developmental and support. They offer a variety of programs including care and grooming of horses, riding, and barn management skills.

They are run exclusively by volunteers in Grantville, PA a the co-founders, Ben and Shirley Nolt, have been operating since 1985. Many of their riders and volunteers have little to no experience working with horses, and CATRA offers a tremendous program for training.

Volunteers participate in all aspects of the program, including assisting with lessons to cleaning stalls, mowing grass, and every sort of barn and office work.

Each week, the organization serves about 125 special-needs riders. and helps them to register, prepare, and chaperone the riders as well as their horses.

Arrowhead Animal Health is proud to sponsor CATRA's Miniature Horse Extravaganza! We've teamed up to provide tapes and wraps to this amazing organization.

We're so excited to have been able to participate in the Miniature Horse Extravaganza at the 2017 Ag Progress Days at Penn State. We look forward to being able to continue to support this incredible cause.
